As short a comment on the bgg x Substack thing as I can make : Keep Substack going please. This content. Whatever pace you want. I do read bgg blogs on occasion, but it’s likely I’ll read every single one here. (This is about 80% due to mode of delivery) Publish the same content both places if you want to.
I will admit to enjoying Flamecraft, but taking it for what it is. Sadly, playing with anyone with AP can lead to a much longer game with the resource conversion/optimization part.
Nice job of condensing Clinic, but the big question is did you throw away the extra expansion boxes? I’m more and more tempted to get a 3D printer for these kinds of uses (plus making other random stuff that I don’t need).
The boxes are now in a pile, waiting for me to decide their fate. I think I'll probably bin them ... the fact that there was never a proper box for the 4th extension always irked me a little bit anyway!
I condensed my Dominion collection many months ago... and ended up putting _those_ boxes in the loft. Though, on reflection, it was probably to no great advantage. I strongly suspect that they'll now stay up there until I'm carried out in a box of my own 😆
I am very jealous of the Clinic insert. So much so that I did a bit of searching to see if anyone was selling a printed-up one (not possessing a 3D thingumajig myself).
North of £100 on etsy for the full set!!
I can probably justify that even less than I can the crazy amount of space the expansions are currently taking up. Maybe the price is entirely justified given the mass of filament required? Or maybe I can acquire the stls and find a local 3D-print hero.. 😊
I'd reckon there was no more than £20 worth of filament in the whole thing... but it did run to something like 40+ hours of printing time... so I can kind of see why the maker is asking so much for a printed copy. That's a long time to have a single printer tied up for.

PS: Sounds like I dodged a bullet (train) by being indisposed for Gamers! 😆

...carried out by your own extensions! 🧑🧑🧒🧒 I think about the same thing as I try to process my wife's parent's stuff into our too full house.

If Easter has taught us one thing...?
Or maybe it was something about bunnies laying eggs. It's a very confusing holiday.
