I saw Thinker Themer talking this up and was very interested but ultimately decided not to go for it on the basis I think I would have struggled to get the same enthusiasm from my other half.
Still looks great to me though.
Also, best coop? Pandemic is obviously a good choice but I'd say Spirit Island takes it.
I *do* like Spirit Island … but I’ve struggled to get folks hooked when playing with any more than 2 players; it runs long, and lacks the “let’s-reset-and-try-again” snappiness of Pandemic. Sadly, I’ve played it solo much more than at any other player count ☹️
Eternal Decks has landed really well with Mrs Shep; I think a lot of that is down to the aesthetics — the black fabric playing field … the tarot/mystical look of the components … the theme of the narrative — (she genuinely refers to it as “The Witchy Game”!). Plus, from the mechanical standpoint, she was always quite keen on “The Game” and variations on Lost Cities. So it was a pretty easy sell on that basis 😀

Thanks for talking about this, made me keen to play when it was offered at my game group tonight and I really enjoyed it. In fact all 4 of us did.
